I had to write a blog about Wish and Vote because I thought this was too cool and too funny.
Backing up…..After secret shopping for six years, I feel I really know the ins and outs of the industry, and I feel have a ton of valuable information to offer others. I have now made it my goal to teach those interested, how to make money at secret shopping…all free to them. I am a single mom, and I have been supporting us as a secret shopper while we (my daughter and I) travel the country for learning and fun about six months of the year, and I home school her…without a penny in child support.
To help others get started, I started my site, and I spend 14 to 16 hours a day, almost everyday researching, promoting, adding info, blogs, working to improve my site, etc….it’s actually much more work than secret shopping ever was for me...lol. And, I’m still the little fish in a gargantuan ocean trying to swim upstream.
But, I still have to feed us, and I don‘t want to give up on helping others. So, as you can see from the title of my blog, I changed it to Secret Shopping and Work From Home Opps. I too, am working the programs to generate income, and I want to make a genuine and legit site for others to get information for secret shopping and other work at home programs that have no start up costs.
Shew!!! All that said, let’s talk about Wish and Vote.
About six weeks ago, during one of those 16 hour days, I came across the site, "Wish and Vote." It is free to join, and it works pretty much as the name implies. You make a wish, and people vote on the wishes. All the people voting are not in the group of the people wishing to keep it all fair.
When I first came across the site, because it was free and different than most income opps on the internet, I posted my referral code on my site. Of course, I made a wish because I wanted to be sure it was all legit. About two weeks after registering and wishing, I got an email that our wishing group was finally full, and the voting would be starting. So, I decided to start watching the voting for our group. But, it is was very, veeeery slow going…one vote….two votes…and after about a week of checking in daily, I gave up on it. This also led me to question the legitimacy of the site, so I decided to remove it from my site all together until I felt it was trustworthy.
Yesterday, now about six weeks later…I received an email that my wish won…lol…..I couldn’t friggin believe it. But, that’s not the end of the story. I went to my account, and not only was I credited for my winning wish, there was money in my account from referrals that had clicked-thru from my site when I had Wish and Vote posted there….lmao…unbelievable.
As ridiculous as this concept sounds, I now believe it is legit, so here is the scoop on Wish and Vote:
First, because of the lag time from wishing to winning, I have to believe this is a newer site. Also, the site states the groups are subject to change, so the info I am offering is based on today:
Here’s how it works:
There are six wishing groups, one is free (my wishing group) and pays out $5.00. As for the other five, you pay into it, and if your wish generates the most votes, you win the pool of money. As I once had posted on my site, considering the payouts, the cost to enter a pool is not bad. For a $2.50 wish, the winner receives $50.00. $4.50 wins $250.00, $8.00 will win $500.00, $12.00 will win $2,000.00, and $19.50 will win $5,000.00. There is a $20.00 minimum payout.
The site encourages innovative and creative wishing. They don’t want sob stories (no one can compete with them) or begging for money, so, “Be careful what you wish for.”
If you would like to check it our for yourself, here is the link to Wish and Vote.
Oh, yeah, what was my wish?…I wished for earplugs, so I could drowned out my six year old's singing voice.
New to Secret Shopping? I recommend reading my two lengthy blogs, “Getting Started” and "MSPA" posted at the top of my directory.
